Discipling Children: Vineyard Values in the Church and Home
Presented by Debbie Fooskas & Michele Davidson. This workshop is for those who are invested in the spiritual formation of children, whether through church, in the neighborhood, or at home. It aims to equip with practical ideas and solutions for teaching and implementing the 5- step prayer model as well as the Vineyard value of worship. Also discussed is how the church can support and equip parents as the primary nurturers of their child’s faith.
Debbie Fooskas is the Pastor of Children’s Ministry at Blue Route Vineyard Church in Pa, just outside Philly. She recognizes we can easily overlook kids, they are the smallest people among us. But has been humbled and surprised again and again by how brilliant it is to be around children discovering Jesus. Deb is married with 3 daughters, 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 rabbit, 1 turtle, 3 goldfish, and 30 chickens.
Michele Davidson is the children’s pastor at Pathway Vineyard in Lewiston, Maine. She has been involved with children’s ministry in multiple capacities for over 23 years, because she believes that every child, regardless of circumstance, deserves to have a personal relationship with the God who created them so uniquely. Michele and her husband Toebe have been married for over 31 years, and together they have two adult daughters. In her free time, Michele enjoys reading and volunteering at a local public school with her “therapy” bunny.
